McAlpine Chiropractic Group, P.C. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) sends text messages to patients about their care with our clinic. This page explains exactly what we send, how often, and how to stop the messages at any time.
These terms apply to our patient text-messaging program. They work alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your information generally.
1. What the program is
Our text-messaging program keeps patients informed about their own appointments and care at McAlpine Chiropractic. Messages are sent only to people who are already patients of our clinic. We do not text purchased lists, rented lists, or people who have never been seen here.
2. What we send
- Appointment reminders — sent before a scheduled visit, sometimes with an option to reply to confirm.
- Appointment confirmations — sent when you reply to confirm, or when an appointment is booked or changed.
- Recall and reactivation reminders — an occasional note if we have not seen you in a while, inviting you to book.
- Review requests — an occasional invitation to share your experience after a visit.
- Follow-up communications related to your care — for example, a note about a plan of care or a form we need.
We do not send bulk advertising, promotional offers from other companies, or third-party marketing of any kind.
3. How you sign up
You are enrolled when you give us your mobile number and consent to be contacted — at intake, by signing our patient consent form, or by submitting an online appointment request. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of treatment or of purchasing anything from us.
4. Message frequency
Message frequency varies depending on your appointments. Most patients receive fewer than six messages per month.
5. Cost
We do not charge you for these messages. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and your plan.
6. How to stop messages
Reply STOP to any message from us. You will receive one confirmation message, and we will not send you further text messages. You may opt back in at any time by replying START.

7. How to get help
Reply HELP to any message and you will receive our clinic name and contact information. You can also reach us directly:

8. Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed, and messages may be delayed or fail for reasons outside our control. Never rely on a text message for an urgent or emergency matter — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
9. Supported carriers
Our messages are supported on major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and their affiliated networks. Availability on smaller regional carriers may vary.
10. Your privacy
We do not sell your mobile phone number, and we do not share your number or your text-messaging opt-in status with anyone for promotional or marketing purposes.
We share this information only with the messaging providers strictly necessary to deliver a message to your phone — currently Telnyx LLC, with delivery moving to Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS End User Messaging), together with the underlying mobile carriers. These providers act as communication conduits and process the information solely to deliver our messages to you.
Our text messages are limited to non-sensitive information: your first name, our practice name, our booking link, and our phone number. We do not send Protected Health Information (PHI) such as diagnoses, treatment details, or clinical findings by text message.

11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Continued participation in the messaging program after an update means you accept the revised terms.
